Guitar Hero World Tour Preview
Guitar Hero World Tour is the newest title off of the hit musical game series that produced the record-breaking GH3: Legends of Rock. The success of this series proves that there is a large market for this genre. Plus a few additions and improvements done on Guitar Hero WT, Activision could be introducing what could potentially be another fan favorite.
The biggest feature of Guitar Hero World Tour is the enhancement of its instruments and the inclusion of the music creator. Hence, it realizes your ultimate rock star fantasies by giving you more control on how you play this game.
Aside from the guitar controller that you have come to expect, Activision has also included drums and vocals into the list of instruments available for Guitar Hero World Tour. However, the guitar was not neglected at all; in fact, it had some enhancements done to expand your entire musical experience.
It is now equipped with a sensitive touch pad that alter notes by simply sliding up or down that strip. The buttons are also made more accessible in case you want to switch to star power. The drums for Guitar Hero WT is relatively more quiet. Meanwhile, the entire pad set is more sensitive to how you hit them and it produces the sound accordingly.
The incredible customization feature for Guitar Hero World Tour is a great way to let out your inner rock star. We all know that you have real-life rock stars as playable characters, but you do have the option to create your own. You can customize their physical features and personal style, or according to what type of image you want for your character. Meanwhile, you can also customize your instruments to give them a unique finish that would reflect your personality.
Because Guitar Hero World Tour is a music game, having a good track list is important. With bands like Linkin Park, Sublime, Van Halen, or Foo Fighters, there’s bound to be a tune you’d love to play. Meanwhile, the gameplay still consists of the typical vertical scroll and horizontal bar to adjust instruments and words, respectively.
Aside from this lineup and a few other upcoming downloadable songs, you can create your own song through the music creator. This is a great way to experiment in creating your own songs, submit it to GH tunes, and who knows somebody else might download your song.
Other gameplay elements included in Guitar Hero WT include a maximum of five careers to choose from and a non-linear difficulty progression that suits everyone. For starters to this game, you can practice your guitar and music skills through the new beginner difficulty.
Activision is still mum about the pricing but expect it to be quite “competitive” with what else is in the market.
