Understanding Poodle Paper Training
When you first started thinking about bringing home a new puppy, you were probably thinking about how cute it will be and how fun it will be to play with. Most people tend to forget about the seriousness of bringing a new puppy home because if left unattended and untrained, a little puppy can completely destroy your carpets, your furniture and the rest of your lovely home.
But it is time for reality to butt in and hopefully that happens sooner than later but of course, if anything, stepping in a pile of puppy droppings will surely make you alert. Now you can see that you must start some Poodle paper training before the situation gets completely out of control and your floors are ruined. Even though your puppy will be sorry, they cannot afford to replace your carpets that cost a few thousand dollars so that will be completely on you.
Now, let us assume that you are beginning to think about Poodle paper training before the puppy comes home. This is excellent for you but even if the puppy has already arrived, it is never too late to teach your puppy the rules of their new home. First off, if you have decided that your Poodle training will consist of teaching your dog to go potty inside and on a paper then you need to get your supplies ready.
One of the first things you should buy is a package of pee pads, which can be found in all of the different pet supply stores and even in some of your famous department stores that you always seem to find yourself in.
These pads are treated with something special that emits a scent that only can be smelled by the dog and actually is something that attracts to the dog to the pad to do its business.
Now that you have the pee pads home, you are ready to begin your Poodle paper training. First, you need to see where your puppy normally goes and then you should decide where you would prefer them to go. In the beginning, you will want to lay down a few of the pee pads right in the area where he or she normally goes so they can discover it and start to make use out of it.
After he or she has discovered the pee pad and has began to use it, every few days or so you will want to move it in the direction of where you would really like it to be at. Do not just move it three rooms over in one day as puppies may have a hard time locating it and then just go wherever they want.
Every time you move the pad a few feet, leave it there for a few days so that the puppy can find it and just used to using it. Before you know it your puppy will be completely trained and will go in a location that is more suitable then under your dining room table.
