West Los Angeles Condominiums

When it comes to West Los Angeles condominiums it is not only investors but also residents who are looking for them. As well as offering some wonderful attractions there are plenty of businesses situated in Los Angeles where one can get employment so if you are considering relocating this is an area of the US worth considering.

Certainly during 2006 and 2007 more condos were sold than single family homes not just in West Los Angeles but in the county as a whole. Even as real estate markets begun to dip there is evidence to show that some condos still sold for more than $5 million. Plus it was also discovered that in 2007 59% of all new home sales that took place in Los Angeles County were made up of condos.

The reason why so many people are selecting to buy condos in either West or Downtown Los Angeles is because they have good transport links to the business district of the city. For many people the journey from home to work and then back again each day is only a short one.

Although there is some traditional housing in West Los Angeles this costs not only more to buy than a condominium but costs a lot to maintain as well. In many cases where property is being demolished instead of building more single family dwellings to utilize space and allow more people to live in closer proximity to their work condominium or high developments are being constructed. The main areas of West Los Angeles where condominiums are located is Wilshire and Barrington.

Although a West Los Angeles condominium does cost less than a traditional home, because of them located close to the business district of Los Angeles these do tend to cost more than in other parts of the city.

Certainly this is one of the main reasons why so many couples are now preferring to rent a West Los Angeles condominium rather than buying one. Again they get provided with the same benefits as if they owned the condo themselves that they don’t have to worry about maintaining the exterior of the property. Plus they also have the added benefit that it is their landlord who has to be concerned with the internal maintenance of the condo. However, whether you choose to rent or buy a West Los Angeles condominium you need to spend time researching what is available and what fits in your budget and your requirements.
